Cadet Areas of Study

The Colorado State Patrol Training Academy offers an invaluable amount of opportunities to provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities you will need to be a Colorado State Trooper. 

In addition to the required 540 P.O.S.T. hours of training, you will receive over an additional 600 hours of training specific to the Colorado State Patrol.  Some additional courses specific to our Agency are:

Once you have completed our Academy, you can easily obtain your Associates of Applied Science Degree at Red Rocks Community College.  You will learn about this option while attending the Academy.
