Applications for the Colorado State Patrol’s Annual Youth Academy program are now open.
Focusing on leadership development through team exercises and individual achievement, the Youth Academy functions to foster a positive educational experience for Colorado’s young leaders.
As participants, Cadets will become familiar with the basic elements of the Colorado State Patrol Training Academy through a demanding daily training schedule. The Colorado State Patrol Youth Academy is mentally and physically demanding, and will challenge all participants. Training includes team building and leadership skills, ethics in law enforcement, defensive driving, firearm safety and familiarization, police communications procedures, the history and philosophy of the Colorado State Patrol, crime scene investigation, building searches, traffic stops, self defense and more.
This program is provided at no cost to participants and is made possible through partnerships with local community-minded businesses, organizations and the Colorado State Patrol.
2022 CSP Youth Academy applications are accepted through Thursday, June 30 at 5 p.m. The Academy takes place August 25 -28, 2022 with a combination of virtual and in-person learnings.
