The Colorado State Patrol Chaplains' Unit is an organization of numerous volunteer professionals trained to encourage, serve and support the Colorado State Patrol by providing a resource for both sworn and civilian personnel and their families. They serve 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week, as requested by the Colorado State Patrol.

State Patrol Chaplains are primarily involved in service and support to members and member families of the Colorado State Patrol. Through the State Patrol they are available to the community to provide effective consultation in non-enforcement crisis situations. Areas of support include, but not limited to:

  • Death and injury notification
  • Crisis intervention
  • Ceremonial
  • Counseling
  • Hospital visitation
  • Financial counseling
  • Funerals
  • Suicide, hostage assistance
  • Marriages
  • Family counseling
  • Alcohol/Drug abuse problems
  • Special Assignments

Chaplains can be contacted through any State Patrol Communications Center or through their main troop office.
