The Colorado WIPP Program provides radiation detection equipment to hazardous materials teams and hospitals along the Interstate 25 WIPP transportation corridor through Colorado. Equipment is provided after a Modular Emergency Response Radiological Transportation Training course has been taught in jurisdictions with response authority or MOU response authority to Interstate 25.
During the conduct of radiological training, course participants often express an interest in learning more about how to choose equipment to purchase. Two documents have been included here that may be helpful in the selection and operation of equipment.
