Training Facility Information
The Colorado State Patrol Motor Carrier Training Facility is a modern facility with three separate classrooms and staff offices located on the grounds of the Colorado State Patrol Trooper Academy. It is utilized year round for a variety of courses and training including the CSP Port of Entry Cadet Academy. All classrooms have front and rear high definition TVs with integrated sound. The primary classroom can accommodate up to 45 people and has video conferencing and recording capabilities while each of the two smaller classrooms can serve 20 people each.

Instructors/Meeting Organizer:
Podium computers are provided for instructor presentation with MS Office suite installed or the rooms can connect to most standard computers with an HDMI connection. Remote slide selectors are provided for PowerPoint presentations and the large classroom has a integrated electronic overhead projector which displays on the primary presentation screen. Glass marker boards are installed in each classroom and several easels are available with whiteboard or large sticky note style pads for displaying handwritten information. Common classroom materials can be provided such as pens, pencils, dry erase markers, flip-chart markers, sticky notes, paper, etc.
Students/Attendees:
Power outlets are provided at all seating positions for computers and accessories. Loaner laptop computers are available for all students to use in class upon request. Guest Wi-Fi access is available throughout the building for classroom use. The building is secured through card access. Students will be given visitor badges for use during their visit.
Accommodations:
The facility is ADA accessible and is equipped with fire extinguishers, and AED and basic first aid kit. Male and Female bathrooms are located in the building. A breakroom is available for use during the week which is equipped with a microwave, kitchen sink and full sized fridge and freezer (w/ ice maker). There is a filtered water fountain with a bottle filler attachment. Attendees of classes are welcome to use all the available resources to make their training experience successful.
Dress Code:
While clothing and equipment may be determined by the type of training taking place, general minimum dress attire expectations for students is Colorado Business Casual. This includes a dress style shirt (with a collar, such as a polo or button down shirt), full length pants that are in good repair and shoes. Jeans are acceptable for students, slacks or BDU pants are acceptable for instructors.
Golden is located on the west side of Denver, CO approximately 15 minutes from the downtown area. The closest airport is Denver International Airport. There are a wide variety of hotels, restaurants and retail stores in the surrounding area. However, public transportation and pedestrian travel is not a reliable option for accessing the training center from any of the hotels. It is highly recommended to arrange for daily personal transportation (i.e. utilizing a rental, personal vehicle, daily rideshare) during your attendance at class if you are traveling from out of town.

Travel time to the Training Facility/Golden area in a vehicle is approximately 35 - 45 minutes (with no traffic, add a minimum of 20 minutes during AM/PM commute times).
